L'Ambiance Plaza anniversary

Bridgeport (WTNH) - Today marks the anniversary of the worst construction accident in state history.

22 years ago the unfinished L'Ambiance Apartment building came crashing down in Bridgeport.

28 construction workers were killed when a hydraulic jack failed as it was lifting a huge concrete slab into place.

20 others were hurt.

Memorial ceremonies begin this morning at 10:30 at Bridgeport City Hall.
