Robbery and double shooting

New Haven (WTNH) - New Haven police are investigating an armed robbery and double shooting.
Officers found two people inside a car with gun shot wounds at Blatchley Avenue near Chapel Street.
Those people tell police they had just left a store on Grand Avenue near Poplar Street and were parked in the parking lot when two armed men demanded money.
As the victims tried to drive away the suspects fired at them.
One of the victims suffered a life threatening wound to the head. The other is in stable condition.
Their names have not been released. Police have not said whether they have any solid leads in their investigation.
