Norwich (WTNH) - A teacher walked away from the classroom after being accused of exposing students to pornography. Now she is facing another chapter in her ordeal and is talking about how words on an internet page are fueling the fire.

Julie Amero's case grabbed international and national attention. She thought the final chapter of her story was when her court cased ended. But she now claims she's being cyberbullied by a cybercop who was part of the investigation.

Amero spent years fighting claims she allowed students to view pornography on a school computer in Norwich.

To avoid a re-trial, the former substitute teacher gave up her teaching license, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and paid a $100 fine.

She thought that meant the case was over. But she revealed a detective's blog is continuing what she calls her nightmare.

"The blog frightens me," she said.

Amero and her husband claim Detective Mark Lounsbury, who helped investigate, is continuing to try the case in cyberspace.

"Why would you keep going after me, making my world a living hell?" Amero questioned.

And the couple feels threatened because his blog picture shows him with a gun.

"I don't like my name in any picture with violence," Amero said.

"It's not about her, it's about what happened that day," Detective Lounsbury, of the Norwich Police Department, said in his defense.

The detective said it's not personal; this is just one topic he blogs about. He had to wait until the case was closed to speak publicly about it.

"Now that I am free to speak about it, I think it's important because you had the entire world up in arms," Detective Lounsbury said.

As for the picture on his blog, he said it's his profile picture. "It's a little tiny thing and it was there in 2006 on my previous blog," he said.

Amero claimed Lounsbury may be attempting to further ruin her reputation. In this age of blogging, however, the detective said his online perspective is within bounds.

"I'm just asking him to please leave me alone," Amero said.

Because of this case, Lounsbury said he's faced his own share of cyberbashing. He said he will continue to blog. But he said that since Amero finds his profile picture offensive, he is willing to take it down.

As for Amero, she has an international crowd of cyber experts fighting on her behalf who say they will continue monitoring what's being said on the blogs.
