Fatal injury at skate park

    Plainfield (WTNH) - A young boy is fatally injured in an accident at the Skate Board Park in the Village of Moosup.

    The boy, only 13-years of age, was injured in an accident at the Skate Board park at 11 a.m. at the Little League complex.

    According to several witnesses, the boy was attempting a maneuver at the top of a ramp when he lost control and fell, striking his head. The victim was transported to W.W. Backus Hospital via ambulance.

    The investigation into the incident continues but at this time, all indications are that the tragedy was an accident.
