(WTNH) - You can brighten someone's day with daffodils and help out a good cause. The American Cancer Society's Daffodil Days is going on now.
Daffodil Days is one of the American Cancer Society's oldest and most beloved fundraising programs that celebrates the Society's mission to eliminate cancer as a life-threatening disease. Although Daffodil Days involves offering daffodils every spring to donors in appreciation for their contributions, it is about more than just giving beautiful flowers - it is everyone's opportunity to share hope for a world free of cancer.
During the last 14 years, Daffodil Days has raised nearly $250 million in gross revenue to support the American Cancer Society's lifesaving mission to eliminate cancer as a life-threatening disease. Last year, over $697,000 was raised in Connecticut to help fight cancer.
For more information about Daffodil Days, to request flowers, or to get involved with the program, contact your American Cancer Society anytime, day or night, at 1-800-ACS-2345 or visit www.cancer.org/daffodils.
