(WTNH) - Alfonso Iaderosa and Michael Kopstein from Foe in Branford joined News Channel 8 @ Noon with a recipe for tilapia.
Ingredients:
- 1 egg
- 5/6 oz Tilapia Fillet
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons for fresh basil
- 1 whole lemon
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup of white wine
- flour to coat fish
- 1 cup of chicken stock
Method:
Beat egg is small bowl. Put fish in flour and then egg. Heat
two tablespoons of oil in saute pan. Place battered fishin hot oil
for 2 minutes, flip for two minutes. Remove fish and set aside. Add
mushrooms and saute until brown then season with salt and pepper.
Add tomato and saute for one minute. Add wine and lower heat to
simmer. Add stock and fish and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Finish
with basil and butter.
