ROCKY HILL, Conn. (AP) — Democratic U.S. Rep. Chris Murphy and Republican Linda McMahon are facing off in their first debate in Connecticut's tight race for the open U.S. Senate seat.
The hour-long match-up will be held at the WFSB-TV studios in Rocky Hill and will be aired live at 11 a.m. Sunday. It will be part of the public affairs program called "Face the State."
The two candidates are vying for the seat that is held by the retiring Sen. Joe Lieberman, an independent.
They candidates are scheduled to appear at another debate at the University of Connecticut in Storrs on Thursday. Two more debates are scheduled for Oct. 15 in New London and Oct. 18 in Hartford.
