HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Governor Malloy helped to celebrate the grand opening of the Care-Centrix headquarters in the Capitol city Friday.

The relocation of the company represents part of the plan that the Malloy administration has instituted in bringing business to the state and keeping it here.

It was all hands on deck Friday as workers watched the grand opening ceremony.

Care-Centrix is a leading provider of home health benefits and management services. Currently there are 240 people employed there, but the company is already looking into adding an additional 300 new jobs over the next five years.

"Your American success story is the kind of story that we need to replicate more often here in Connecticut," said Gov. Malloy.

The company and others like it are buying into the Governor's three-pronged plan to get businesses into the state, big and small, and keep them up and running to strengthen the economy and put people back to work.

The idea behind his plan is to attract and retain businesses in exchange for a capitol investment and an agreement to grow jobs in the state.

"We're talking to companies like yours that agree to add over 200 jobs and of the first 15 we've actually given out 9 of those including NBC Sports," said Gov. Malloy, "including bringing the headquarters of two fortune 500 companies to Connecticut."

The Governor says those who got Care-Centrix to the Capitol city are part of the so-called innovation eco system program. The state is helping people with great ideas locate offices and get them services to get them up and running, and connecting them with those who have money to invest in their great ideas.

Care-Centrix has 110 positions open in Hartford.

It will be holding a job fair on Saturday, January 12th at it's location at 20 Church Street from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information visit Care-Centrix website .
