MERIDEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A bill co-sponsored by Sen. Richard Blumenthal to better protect children has received bi-partisan approval.

The bill passed the Senate last night.
A key provision of the bill increases prison penalties for those convicted of possessing child porn.
