Experts to discuss economy, election at Yale

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Yale University is planning panel discussions involving leading experts on the economy and the election.

The public panels will be held Wednesday and Nov. 1 in Levinson Auditorium of Yale Law School. Yale President Richard C. Levin will moderate.

The panel on Wednesday will focus on taxes, spending and the economics of health care.

Experts include Alan Auerbach, a law and economics professor at UC Berkeley who served as deputy chief of staff on the U.S. Joint Committee on Taxation; Michael Graetz, a law professor at Yale and Columbia who served as first deputy assistant secretary for tax policy and assistant secretary and special counsel for the U.S. Department of Treasury; and Amanda Kowalski, assistant professor at Yale and faculty research fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research.
