FCC won't investigate complaint involving Rowland

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — A Federal Communications Commission official says the agency won't be investigating a complaint raising questions about former Connecticut Gov. John Rowland's work on a congressional campaign while he continued hosting a radio show.

Activist Ken Krayeske filed the complaint against WTIC-AM owner CBS Radio in April and told The Register Citizen that he recently received a response saying there will be no investigation.

Krayeske filed the complaint after it was disclosed that Rowland was a volunteer for Republican Lisa Wilson-Foley's 5th District campaign and did consulting work for a nursing home company owned by Wilson-Foley's husband. Rowland no longer works for the campaign and continues to host his afternoon show on WTIC.

A federal grand jury, however, is reviewing the consulting work Rowland did for the nursing home company.
