Malloy sympathizes with Occupy protesters

Hartford, Conn. (WTNH) - Governor Malloy says he sympathizes with the Occupy Hartford and Occupy Wall Street movements.

The encampment has grown to about fifteen tents at a small park a few blocks from the State Capitol.

So far, the city of Hartford has chosen not to enforce an ordinance that forbids sleeping in tents overnight.

Gov. Dannel Malloy said, "I think their frustration is the same frustration that many of us are sharing. We've seen a return to record profits without a return to full employment."

The Governor said today that he dropped by Turning Point Park earlier this week, but there was nobody there.

He indicated that he will attempt to make another visit.
