Gov. Malloy takes budget message to cities, towns

Hartford, Conn. (WTNH) - Gov. Dannel Malloy will lead a series of town meetings to discuss state finances and his budget plans, the governor's office announced Tuesday.

17 town hall-style meetings have been scheduled, with the first coming February 21st in Bridgeport. They will all be open to the public.

"It's important that we have a chance to talk about some of the changes I'm proposing to help create new jobs and get our state’s fiscal house in order, and I want to hear what people think," Gov. Malloy said in a statement.
