HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Gov. Dannel P. Malloy is continuing visits to promote state tourism destinations.
Mallloy has scheduled stops at eastern Connecticut sites such as the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Ashford, the Vanilla Bean Cafe in Pomfret and the University of Connecticut dairy barn in Storrs.
State officials say 2011 statistics show that Connecticut's hospitality and tourism industry employs more than 110,000 workers, generates $1.15 billion in state and local tax revenue and is responsible for $11.5 billion in spending.
Malloy has been promoting the state's new "Still Revolutionary" tourism campaign during the summer.
