(WTNH) - President Obama will be making a stop in Connecticut this evening, and that could mean headaches for some commuters who will have to brake for his motorcade.
The President will be in Stamford to headline a fundraiser for Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Richard Blumenthal.
Some roads will be closed briefly to make way for the President.
After the Stamford event the president is scheduled to attend a Democratic National Committee event at a private home in Greenwich.
The President last came to Connecticut in October of 2009 to raise money for Senator Chris Dodd, who later announced he would not run for re-election.
Blumenthal faces Republican Linda McMahon in the Senate race.
Chief Political Correspondent Mark Davis will report on the presidential trip tonight on News 8.
