Shrimp Ala Orange

(WTNH) - Freddie Doyle from Connecticut Shellfish Company and John Bencivengo from the Chowder Pot III joined News Channel 8 @ Noon with a recipe for Shrimp Ala Orange.

Ingredients:
6 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 tbsp olive oil
1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp fresh ginger, peeled and grated
1 tbsp orange zest
3 oz Triple Sec
1 c. orange juice
2 tbsp butter
fresh cracked black pepper, to taste

Method:
Heat olive oil in saute pan. Coat shrimp with flour. Saute shrimp until 75-percent cooked. Add ginger, orange zest and pepper. Deglaze pan with Triple Sec. Add orange juice and butter and reduce.

This recipe can also be made with sole, tilapia or chicken.
