HEBRON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Area schools were locked down after a boy threatened an adult with a bb gun in Hebron Tuesday.
Police said a 13-year-old boy pointed a bb gun at an adult, threatened them, and then walked off into the woods.
Due to the close proximity to RHAM Middle and High Schools, both were placed in lockdown throughout the incident.
A K9 team from Troop K responded and was able to track the juvenile. He was then taken into custody.
The boy was sent to the hospital for evaluation and the incident remains under investigation.
When the incident was clear RHAM was notified and the lockdown was removed.
