Coventry school briefly locked down

Coventry, Conn. (WTNH) --  G. H. Robertson School in Coventry briefly went into lockdown on Wednesday morning.

The Superintendent of Schools explained police contacted the school when they were pursuing a suspect in a car accident on foot in the area. The school was locked down as a precautionary measure.

The school went into lockdown at 10:35 a.m. and the lockdown was lifted at 11:15 a.m. when police gave the all clear.

No one was injured and officials say the school is safe.
