Drivers indentified in I-84 crash, fire

Willington, Conn. (WTNH) - A serious accident closed down part of I-84 on Friday , and today, the victims have been identified.

Walter Palasiewski, 57, was driving a truck down the road when he lost control and struck another truck, driven by Timothy Dobson, 57.

The crash happened around 3:30 on the eastbound side of the highway, between exits 69-70.

After the collision, one of the tractor-trailers caught fire and closed down one side of the highway.

Dobson was airlifted to Hartford Hospital, while Palasiewski was transported to Rockville Hospital. Their current conditions, as well as their injuries, are currently unknown.

The incident remains under investigation.
