Ex-fire chief impregnated teenage girl

SOUTH COVENTRY, Conn. (WTNH) -- Arrest warrants state ex-fire chief, 53-year-old Joseph Carilli of the South Coventry Fire Department, got a teenaged girl who was a member of the junior firefighter program pregnant.

She later had an abortion. That's according to the Hartford Courant.

The paper reports Carilli says the girl black-mailed him into having sex with her.

He does admit to having sex with the 15-year-old in the Coventry firehouse at his house and the fire department substation.

Carilli faces charges of second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.

Former Liutentant 35-year-old Joe Fragoso is also facing charges.

The Courant reports arrest warrants state Fragoso traded naked pictures and videos with a 16-year-old girl, a member of the junior firefighter program.

The paper reports the teen told police she and Fragoso engaged in sex acts in the firehouse and the south street substation.

Fragoso is charged with second-degree sexual assault.
