Early morning fire destroys Vernon house

VERNON, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Vernon house was destroyed after a fire broke out early Thursday morning.

According to Tolland County Dispatch, firefighters were called to the house at 34 Oakmoor Street at 1:59am.

Video of the fire shows flames ripping through much of the house.

The house was not occupied and no injuries were reported.

The cause remains under investigation.
