Two hospitalized in Somers motorcycle crash

Somers, Conn. (WTNH) - The driver and passenger of a motorcycle were taken to the hospital after getting into a two-vehicle accident in Somers Saturday afternoon.

The accident happened around 4 p.m., on Route 83.

Police said the motorcycle was traveling south on Route 83, when a car, traveling north attempted to turn left onto Four Bridges Road, turning in the path of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle's driver, 59-year-old Kenneth Bregoli, of 83 Lathrop St., W. Springfield, Mass., and passenger, 48-year-old Debra Hiller, of 330 Westwood Ave., E. Longmeadow, Mass., were taken to Johnson Memorial Hospital. They were subsequently taken by Lifestar to Hartford Hospital.

Both are reported to have serious injuries.

The car's driver, 84-year-old Margaret Patterson, of 39 Olde Maple Farms, Enfield, did not sustain any injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
