STORRS, Conn. (AP) — The University of Connecticut is repeating last year's restrictions to keep next week's Spring Weekend free of destructive and rowdy behavior.

The university's vice president for student affairs and police chief told students Monday that between April 19 and 22, UConn police and State Police will block or limit access to certain roads, parking lots and pathways on and around campus.

They advised non-students to stay out of Storrs during that time.

In addition, they said guests are barred from residence halls during those three days and dining halls will not admit non-students.

There were 17 arrests last year during the three-day weekend, down from 84 in 2010, due to recommendations by a task force intended to de-escalate Spring Weekend.
