(WTNH) -- After the fight over the fiscal cliff and the failure to act on the Hurricane Sandy relief bill, many of you are not happy with our lawmakers. Here's tonight's Voice of the People.
Dawn of Shelton said, "I am appalled that the government waited this long to do anything about the fiscal cliff. They had months to deal with this and they waited 'til the last minute. If they had a real job, they'd be fired. I think that you know, because they put the American people in so much duress, maybe next year they should have their pay cut in half to let us know that they feel sorry for us, the poor person, the middle class person, and that they don't need all that money."
Pat of Beacon Falls said, "Wondering why we have to be the most expensive state in the country to live, when we're right between Boston and New York? Nobody else has any money, we can't put in a toll booth? We need to take everybody that is representing us and fire them, and start paying public servants minimum wage."
John of Wallingford said, "As far as the politicians are concerned, I don't believe that any office, no office, should ever hold more than an 8 year term in that position. These people are way too comfortable in their positions, that's why they can never get anything done. How about we get back to we the people because we're the ones suffering, none of those politicians are suffering."
