2 girls killed in Putnam fire identified

PUTNAM, Conn. (WTNH)-- Police have identified the two girls who were found dead after a house fire in Putnam.

They have been identified as 6-month-old Ava Auger and 3-year-old Alexis Augur.

The cause of death is smoke inhalation and the deaths have been ruled an accident.

The fire investigation is continuing.
