House fire spreads to nearby brush

    A house fire in Hampton got out of control Friday afternoon and spread to nearby brush.

    Hampton fire dispatch tells News 8 that six departments are on the scene fighting the fire that broke out at 162 Sara Pearl Road around 2:30 in the afternoon. The fire started in the home and spread to brush two or three acres in size.

    Fire dispatch tells News 8 that the house is totally destroyed. A News 8 crew is enroute to the scene, we will bring you more information as it becomes available.
