Thompson, Conn. (WTNH) -- A brush fire in Thompson burned 15 acres of land Wednesday morning.
It happened at Quaddick Town Farm Road across from Baker Road.
The fire was able to be controlled by 11:30 a.m. and the remaining flames were expected to be quickly put out.
A brush fire consumed more than 50 acres of land at Devils Hopyard State Park in East Haddam. The fire was first reported Monday night, but the flames ragged until Tuesday afternoon. [Read more here]
The state banned the open burning of brush after a Red Flag warning was also issued on Tuesday.
