Plainfield, Conn. (WTNH) - One person was killed when a school bus and a SUV collided in Plainfield around noon on Monday.
The collision happened on Starkweather Road.
The bus was taking kids home from Moosup Elementary School when Edward Henderson, 51, lost control of his Toyota SUV and collided with the bus.
Henderson's passenger, Nancy Henderson, 54, was transported to Backus Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
There was only one student on the bus and that child was not hurt.
The bus driver, Jodi Cameron, 47, was taken to the bus facility after complaining of hand pain and to take a mandatory drug test.
