Firefighters battle Sterling garage fire

STERLING, Conn. (WTNH) -- Firefighters are battling a blaze at a building in Sterling.

The fire broke out around 1:30 p.m., at 57 North Sterling Rd.

Officials said the building is a detached or light commercial garage.

By 3 p.m., officials said the fire was under control, but firefighters are continuing to hose it down.

One person was transported from the scene by ambulance, but it is unknown if it was fire-related.
