House destroyed in Eastford fire, 2 hospitalized

    Eastford, Conn. (WTNH) - Two people were taken to the hospital after a fire in Eastford Monday night.

    The fire occurred at a home located at 73 Hartford Turnpike.

    Officials say the house was completely destroyed in the blaze.

    Route 44 is shut down between Route 198 and North Street as crews work on the clean up.
