Man accused of sex assault of 3 yr old

Canterbury, Conn. (WTNH) - A Canterbury man is facing charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted a three year old.

Robert Hardy, 65, of 30 Knollwood Drive, has been charged with fourth degree sex assault and illegal sexual contact/risk of injury to a minor. The victim is also from Canterbury.

Hardy surrendered to state police Friday and was released on a $50,000 bond. He is due in court April 28.
