PLAINFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Two newly renovated service plazas along I-395 have re-opened in Plainfield.

There are now six service plazas along Connecticut highways that have been completely remodeled or rebuilt by Project Service LLC, the company that now operates 23 Department of Transportation-owned plazas around the state.

Work on the Plainfield locations began in October 2011. They now offer a Dunkin' Donuts, Subway, a Mobil Mart convenience store and Mobil gasoline. It's the first time there has been a Dunkin' Donuts and a Subway at those locations.

Project Service plans to begin renovating the northbound and southbound service plazas in Greenwich along Route 15, as well as the Montville Service Plaza along I-395, this month.

Project Service and the state signed a 35-year agreement to renovate and operate the plazas in late 2009.
