(WTNH) -- In her blog, Parenting for a Purpose , Jennifer Covello shares the lessons she's learned from her two kids.
And in her light-hearted, soulful approach Covello guides and inspires moms and dads along their own parenting journey.
Covello joined News 8 to talk about her blog and what she refers to as "SuperMom Syndrome."
Specifically, Covello says that fewer and fewer parents are truly enjoying raising their children, as they are trying to get them from diapers to Dartmouth as fast and painless as possible. However, she says those parents are missing all the fun.
The following are a few Supermom Syndrome tips from Covello.
1) Perfection is a really fun game to play, but it's not a way to live. Learn to be okay with okay.
2) The shortest word in the English language is no. Learn to use it often and use it well.
3) Time-outs aren't just for kids. Give yourself some quiet time every day.
