New Haven (WTNH) - The following was written by Lisa Lynn:
It's that time of year where we all need to burn those extra calories we consumed during the holidays. I also call this workout "The morning after workout." It will help to get you back on track with exercise and burn off those extra calories that inevitably sneak in from time to time.
These exercises are intense and high impact, so try to do this work out once a week or save this workout for those special occasions when you really need it. Anyone can do this routine, anywhere, anytime, no excuses! Some of the exercises may be challenging at first, so take your time to build up to the duration and levels. Also remember to eat as clean as possible to make up for the extra calories that you consumed.
Why not give your metabolism a 25% boost by drinking a protein shake. Remember skipping meals doesn't work - this will actually slow your metabolism down. Budget your foods like you budget your money. If you spent too much yesterday, you need to save more today. Almost all of us eat too many carbohydrates and fat so skimp on these two food groups over the next few days. Remember: A proper diet and exercise is the best way to stay in shape and keep your body healthy!
