(WTNH) -- Staying in shape doesn't mean you have to skip out on sweet treats.
Fitness Experty and Specialist Lisa Lynn shares her tips on how you can cheat and still lose weight.
Lisa says that she would rather die than go a day without a sweet treat. The problem is that she felt horrible after and she hated being overweight.
She learned a few tricks after working with celebrities whose paychecks depend on how good they look.
The secret, according to Lisa, to splurgeand not gain an ounce is to boost your metabolism by 25 to 40 percent.
Skinny Secret #1:
Boost your metabolism first thing in the morning with metabolic boosting exercise!
Always perform metabolic boosting exercise first thing in the morning on an empty stomach the day of your cheat and the morning after. Aim for a mix of metabolic boosting weight lifting and cardiovascular work. Minimum requirement 1 hour combined.
Skinny Secret #2:
Boost your metabolism immediately after exercise by drinking the right kind of protein shake to keep it from slowing down.
Boost your metabolism right after your workout another 25% by drinking a high-quality whey protein shake.
WARNING: Be sure the shake is fat-free and very low carb with at least 25 grams of whey protein.
Skinny Secret #3:
Block carb and fat from being stored by making friends with white kidney beans!
This is one of the best kept secrets and it works! Always have white kidney bean extract in your purse for the days when you're not so perfect! White kidney bean extract paralyzes enzymes that digest starch so carbs cannot be broken down into sugar and are eliminated through your system! If carbs and fats can't be absorbed that can't make you fat! It's easier to prevent than it is to burn it off later! We live in the real world so this product is a must if you're anything like me!

Never leave home without a stash of candies that stop your sweet tooth dead in it's tracks!
We are all human and sometimes you just gotta stick something in your mouth. You want that something to shut off your cravings, but not make them worse. Grab a fireball or a really strong cough drop when the sugarless-gum trick didn't do the trick. Fireballs and cough drops will hit the spot and can actually make you feel full. Both candies are less than 20 calories and are far better choices than what you would be grabbing so consider these the littlest of all evils!
Skinny Secret #5:
Drink very hot tea or a giant iced tea.
Being dehydrated is one of the reasons we crave and sometimes is purely emotional. Taking a hot tea break can be just what you need to keep you from grabbing those sweets. Remember, drinking tea and coffee is calorie-free, so make it your new habit right after dinner!
