WTNH-- Connecticut resident John Jones has been writing fictional stories for more than 30 years, but it wasn't until recently that he decided to publish his first book.
"Captain Jack for President" is the story of an ordinary man with an extraordinary dream to run for the nation's highest office. It's a chance for readers to examine the moral barometer of our nation today and their own moral standards.
John Jones and his son Pete were here to talk about the book and how it was a labor of love for these two men.
There is an event for the book on Wednesday January 16th, at the Silas Bronson Library in Waterbury, between 6-7:45 PM.
The Funky Monkey Cafe & Gallery in Cheshire is also holding an event for the book on Thursday January 24th, at 7:09 PM.
