Don't lose out on a rebate

(WTNH) -- School bells are ringing, and with a lot of kids already in school and others about to start, it's a good idea to give students and parents a heads up about rebates on laptops and other gear they might need.

For that, we spoke with Howard Schwartz from the Better Business Bureau. His tips for making sure you don't miss out on that rebate:

• Check the time frame for submitting a rebate
• Read instructions carefully
• Make photocopies of all documentation
• Consider sending rebate by certified mail
• Make a note on your calendar
• Check your mail carefully
