(WTNH) -- Thanksgiving is just five-days away, and if you still haven't decided on the kind of flowers you want to use to decorate the table, or maybe send to someone for the dining room table, Tracy Pascarella from Your Florist in Clinton showed us several Thanksgiving ideas.
Here are some of her tips for traditional to unique harvest centerpieces to enhance your table:
1. Traditional Long and Low Centerpiece including Candles
2. A contemporary mix of Square vases w/ Flowers & some with candles to arrange down the center of the table
3. Fill containers that you already own ... examples an Ice Bucket, A Coffee service and a Martini pitcher
Tips for sending arrangements to out of town relatives & friends
1. Send through your local florist, they can connect with a florist in the area that you are sending
2. When looking up a Florist on line, be sure you are talking to an actual florist, not an "order taker", ask questions like "Can I stop in to see what you have available?" or "I will be in town, may I stop in and pick up the arrangement if I choose?"
There are many web sites of people who will take your order and then send it to an actual florist. They are taking a cut to make the phone call for you. If you talk directly to the florist, all of the money you are spending will go into the flowers and delivery and you will get the best value.
