- Freshly made juices are low in calories. Just adding one in per day as a snack or to start your morning will give you a healthy boost, not to mention, it's a simple and healthy way to jump start weight loss.
- Fresh fruit and vegetable juices are known to help reduce fat, lower blood pressure and reduce oxidation in our cells which can lead to chronic diseases.
- Adding greens like collards, kale and spinach to fresh juices will help you detoxify, reduce sugar cravings and increase your energy, no caffeine needed!
Juicing is easy and fun and you don't need to have the most expensive equipment. You can buy a reasonably priced juicer and start reaping the benefits. Even better, you can get creative and mix up your favorite juices using fruits and vegetables you love.
The following green juice recipe is full of nutrients, has a high water content (cucumbers are great for that) and is easily adaptable to your liking.
Classic Green Juice Recipe
6 celery stalks
4-6 kale or collard leaves
Small handful parsley
2 green apples
For a sweeter juice, add pineapple. For a more robust juice, add more dark

variations are endless!
