(WTNH) - Nancy Di Fabbio spent years designing and creating bridal gowns for hundreds of women and even wrote a book about it, but she decided to switch gears and pen her first work of fiction, "Midnight Magic: Be Careful What You Wish For."

Di Fabbio says that while many books geared toward young adults promote violence and adult themes, her book defies the mainstream.

She says the book has positive female role models and elements of healthy living, while still embracing the "modern-day fairytale" fantasy that turned the young adult market into a multi-billion dollar industry.
