New Haven (WTNH) - The life of Amelia Earhart has always been a mystery to most, until now; details of Earhart's private life are being aired in a provocative new book.

Connecticut author, Chandra Prasad, has written a new novel called 'Breathe the Sky'  and it comes on the heels of the new film 'Amelia' starring Hilary Swank and Richard Gere.

This year marks the 72nd anniversary of Earhart's disappearance in her quest to become the first person to fly around the world. Her courage and charisma is said to have drawn people in, making her an instant celebrity across the globe. However, in Prasad's new book, she says Earhart's fame came at a cost. Prasad told 'Good Morning Connecticut' that the novel is the first to reveal the dark side of Earhart's fame.

'Breathe the Sky' gives an unique and in depth look on Earhart's private life. While she vanished in the skies during the 1930's, the aviation legend has not been forgotten.
