(WTNH) - Lisa Lelas is our organizing expert at Good Morning Connecticut Weekend, specializing in de-cluttering and organizational skills for the home and office.

Lisa also is an expert on time management, work/life balance, motivation, goal setting & goal achievement, life mapping and the craft of writing (books, newspaper & magazine columns).

Besides being our organizing expert, Lisa is a bestselling author, the creator/host of "The Organizing Minute" - the country's first daily organizing feature on radio, and has been a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Today Show, and more.

Lisa is a member of the prestigious NSA (National Speakers Association), member of NSA-CT, member of NAPO (National Association of Professional Organizers), Past President/executive board member of NAPO-CT and member of ICF (International Coach Federation).

Her first book, SIMPLE STEPS: 10 Weeks to Getting Control Of Your Life (NAL-Penguin Books, 2003) continues to sell well in book stores throughout the world. The audio book version of Simple Steps (6 CD set/Blackstone Audiobooks) was ranked #1 audio book for the Summer of 2005 in the Inspiration/self help genre, for which Lisa was nominated and received a bronze medal at the Audie Awards that year (the "Academy Awards" of audio book publishing!). SIMPLE STEPS For Every Holiday was published in 2004 and a wall calendar version of the Simple Steps lifestyle makeover program was published in 2008 by TidePress Publishing.

ORGANIZING A TO Z: A Children's Organizing Alphabet is Lisa's newest book, and the country's first organizing picture book for young children. This 55 page full color picture book is illustrated by Larry Ruppert, the official illustrator for 'Dick & Jane' series.

Lisa's motivational and inspirational stories and columns have graced the pages of many national magazines and can be read weekly and monthly in many publications and on the web. Her column, 'Life Styling' runs in the Shore Line Pages of The New Haven Register, Home Living Connecticut Magazine, and Hometown publications 'Living on the Shoreline', 'Living in Farmington Valley' and 'Living in West Hartford.' Lisa's 'Out Of Order' and 'Personality Profile' columns appear in each issue of 'Scrapbooking and Beyond,' a popular national craft magazine sold at newstands and in specialty craft stores nationwide.

In 2006, Lisa launched "Blooming Bins," a retail line of elegant floral crafted paint and decoupage storage bins she still personally creates by hand and personally signs each piece.

Lisa lives on the Connecticut shoreline with her husband, John and two daughters, Lindsay and Lexy, and their little maltese, Daisy. As a writer and life coach, much of Lisa's inspiration comes from spending time with her family at their lake house up in Vermont.
