How much time do you spend at your desk? It may be your primary workspace, but it may not be set up in the best way possible. On Saturday, Organizing Expert Lisa Lelas joined us with tips to make your workspace less stressful on your body.
Spending long hours at your desk - at home or in the office -
can cause problems for your eyes, back and concentration level. But
Lisa says a few simple steps can reduce some of the stress:
1. Make sure you're comfortable.
-Check the position of your keyboard, mouse and desk chair.
2. Take breaks.
-A few minutes here and there help you stay focussed.
3. Give your eyes a rest.
-Staring at the computer too long causes strain.
4. Limit interruptions.
-Allow yourself to focus on the job at hand.
5. Relax your arms.
-Don't force yourself to be in an uncomfortable position.
6. Turn up the lights.
-Brighter is better.
7. Keep office equipment convenient.
-Put things where you can reach it.
8. Keep cool.
-It's easier to work that way.
9. Keep hydrated.
