New Haven (WTNH) - Bridgeport's Beardsley Zoo helped us celebrate the Fourth of July holiday with a display of patriotic colors found in the animal kingdom.

Jim Knox from the Beardsley Zoo brought a red-eared slider turtle, a white-bellied hedgehog, and a blue-tongued skink lizard with him.

Jim also brought the piglets he told us about the last time he was on Good Morning Connecticut. He tells us the piglets are doing well, and will eventually grow to be about three times the size they are now!
