The sounds of jazz will fill the air in the center of Branford this summer, as the town kicks off its Jazz on the Green series. The series will run Thursday nights, starting July 9th and concluding August 20th.
Ed Tankus, the founder of Blue Plate Radio , and Dale Izzo, the Asst. Dir. of the Branford Recreation Department joined us on Good Morning Connecticut to give us a preview. Members of Gary Grippo's Quintet provided a taste of the music.
The Branford Jazz on the Green series will feature a variety of jazz performances, from contemporary to latin to standards. Shops and restaurants around the Green will stay open late Thursday evenings to serve people coming to hear the music.
