(WTNH) -- Local motorcycle riders can participate in the annual "Poker Run" on Sunday, August 12th, all for a good cause.
The annual event will benefit the Branford Counseling Center's "Secret Santa" program.
Coffee and registration will start at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 12th at Brother's Harley Davidson, 557 West Main Street, (Route 1 on top of the hill) in Branford.
The last rider goes out at 11:30 a.m. and the last stop is at the Indian Hill Park complex in Clinton. (Right on Route 81, 2 miles north of Clinton Crossing)
Food will be served at the park and there are drawings, prizes and music for all riders and passengers.
Price is $25 for single riders and $35 for riders with a passenger.
"Poker Runs" are not exactly races. They are more of an event where riders (or drivers) visit check-points to draw playing cards. At the end of the "run", the player(s) with the best hand win the event.
