New Haven, Conn (WTNH) - Dancers from the Sheeaun Academy of Irish Dance joined GMC Weekend to share some authentic Irish dancing in celebration of St. Patrick's Day.

The Sheeaun Academy of Irish Dance holds classes in Trumbull, Fairfield, Madison, and Stonington, CT. It was started in 2008 by Moira Speer, who was joined in 2010 by Frank Rupp.

The students have been dancing at local feiseanna (competitions) since 2009, and recently enjoyed great success at the New England Oireachtas (regional championships) in November.

Whether you wish to compete, or to dance for the love of it, the Sheeaun Academy is the perfect place to develop strength, coordination, rhythm, and balance, as well as to learn something fun and unique!
