(WTNH) -- Summer can be fun for kids, but those who count on school meals as their main source of nutrition lose access to those programs putting them at higher risk of hunger and obesity.
However, it doesn't have to be that way. The School Nutrition Association of Connecticut and End Hunger Connecticut are teaming up to spread the word about a summer food service program that brings free, nutritious summer meals to kids and teens.
There are more than 400 summer meal sites operating throughout the state. Text CTMEALS to 877-877 to find the site nearest you or call 211.
