(WTNH) -- Tropical fish may be native to warmer climates, but they've been making some appearances in Long Island Sound.
When you think of tropical fish, you tend to think of them in places such as Florida, but not anymore.
Over the last five to ten years, tropical fish have been turning up in Long Island Sound. It's perhaps more evidence of climate change.
Scott Tucker from Expedition New England says that ocean temperatures have warmed couple of degrees over the past few decades. That just enough, he says, to allow for tropical fish to swim up into Long Island Sound in the summer.
