New Haven (WTNH) - Veterans Day only comes once a year, however many would agree that war veteran should be celebrated throughout the year. Mary Porter of "No Vet Left Behind, Inc.", told 'Good Morning Connecticut' about a black tie affair dedicated to honoring the sacrifices of war veterans.

"No Vet Left Behind, Inc." is dedicated to helping veterans get the care they need and rehabilitating them so that they are ready to re-emerge into society. Porter says "No Vet Left Behind, Inc." not only assists newly returning soldiers, but it also helps homeless veterans.

The group is planning its 2nd annual Veteran's Ball, which will take place at Villa Blanc in Seymour. Supporters may offer food and clothing donations to the organization through its Stars and Stripes Thrift Store and Service Center.
